Cutting edge for local X-Factor singer

Sheffield's own singing hairdresser Ben Loy has bagged a top national hairdressing award just months after starring in ITV's X-Factor.

Ben - who is also mated with and hairdresser to, Sheffield Eurovision singing sensation, Lindsay Dracass - made it through to X-Factors grueling boot camp last autumn, despite never having has a singing lesson in his life, but always said his true love lay in hairdressing. "I love singing and loved being on the show, but this title means so much more"
